And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Are they, then, not aware that it is for them that We have created, among all the things which Our hands have wrought, the domestic animals of which they are [now] masters? 71 And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat. 72 And therein they have advantages and drinks; will they not then be grateful? 73 But [nay,] they take to worshipping deities other than God, [hoping] to be succoured [by them, and not knowing that] 74 They (the appointed Gods) cannot help them; and they and their armies will come (to Us), as captives. 75 So let not their speech grieve thee. Verily We! We know whatsoever they keep secret and whatsoever they make known. 76 Has the human being not considered that We have created him from a drop of fluid. He is openly quarrelsome. 77 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 78 Say: "He who created you the first time. He has knowledge of every creation, 79 He who produces fire for you from green trees and from this you kindle fire." 80 Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yea! and He is the Creator (of all), the Knower. 81 And His only task when He intends a thing is to command it, “Be” – and it thereupon happens! 82 Wherefore hallowed be He in whose hand is the governance of everything, and unto whom ye shall be returned. 83
