3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
