Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
