The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
