Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
