۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 Jesus was a servant of Ours to whom We had granted favors and whom We made as an example for the Israelites. 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path. 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
