And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Assuredly We purified them with a quality most pure, the remembrance of the Abode, 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
