The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
