The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
