Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel! Just recall to mind My favour wherewith I blessed you fulfil your covenant with Me and I shall fulfil My covenant with you, and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down which verifies what is already with you; and do not be the first to deny it, nor part with it for little gain; and beware of Me. 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth 42 Establish your prayers, pay the obligatory charity, and bow with those who bow. 43 ۞ Will you bid others to piety, and forget yourselves while you recite the Book? Do you not understand? 44 Seek help with the Salat and fortitude: no doubt, Salat is a hard task but not for those obedient servants, 45 who realize that ultimately they shall meet their Lord and shall return to Him. 46

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
