So what is the matter with these disbelievers, that they stare at you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him)? 36 [To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups? 37 Does every one of them wish to enter the garden of tranquility? 38 Certainly not! They know quite well out of what We created them. 39 But nay! I call to witness the Lord of the Easts and the Wests, that We have the power 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 Therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened; 42 the Day when they shall come out of their graves in haste, as if they were racing to a goal, 43 with downcast eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them: that Day which they were promised again and again 44
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
