Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
