The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call his associates, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
