We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
