Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
