Believers, obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him now that you have heard all. 20 Be not as those who say, we hear, and they hear not. 21 ۞ Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allah are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers). 22 Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would [still] have turned away, while they were refusing. 23 O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Apostle when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be gathered. 24 And guard yourselves against a chastisement which cannot fall exclusively on those of you who are wrong-doers, and know that Allah is severe in punishment. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 O Ye who believe! defraud not Allah and the apostle, nor defraud your trusts while ye know. 27 And know that your wealth and your children are a test, and that with Allah is an immense reward. 28
