The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and spreading shade 30 near to flowing water 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 and raised couches 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 full of love, well-matched 37 for the people of the right hand 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
