The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
