Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; 45 thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. 46 It is He who has appointed the night a mantle for you and sleep for a rest. The day He has appointed for rising. 47 It is He who loosens the winds, bearing glad tidings before the Hands of His Mercy, and We have sent down pure water from the heaven, 48 In order that We may revive a dead city with it, and give it to the many beasts and men that We have created, to drink. 49 And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude. 50 If We willed, We could have sent a Herald of Warning to every village. 51 So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it. 52 ۞ It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. 53 And it is He, Who created man from water: then from him He caused two kinds of kindred, by blood and by marriage: your Lord is AI I-Powerful. 54 Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 Yet We have not sent you but to give good tidings and to warn. 56 Tell them: "I do not ask any recompense of you for this other than (urging) whoever likes may take the way to his Lord." 57 Put thy trust in the Living God, the Undying, and proclaim His praise. Sufficiently is He aware of His servants sins 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Gracious” – they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And this command only increases the hatred in them. (Command of Prostration # 7) ۩ 60
