The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 The Merciful, the Compassionate 3 Lord of the Day of Judgement. 4 You alone we worship, and to You alone we turn for help. 5 Keep us on the right path. 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
