And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
