3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
