But no; I swear by what you see, 38 and all that you do not see, 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 and neither is it - however little you may [be prepared to] take it to heart - the word of a soothsayer: 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 not one of you could have prevented it from him. 47 And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 This is the Truth beyond any doubt. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
