The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The time of people's reckoning has drawn near, and yet they turn aside in heedlessness. 1 There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 He says: 'My Lord knows what is said in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.' 4 They have said, "It, (the Quran), is only the result of some confused dreams. He is only a poet. He should show us some miracles, as the ancient Prophets had done." 5 The people of the town whom We had destroyed also had no faith. Will these people then believe in God? 6 And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men, whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not? 7 And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals, 8 Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 We have sent down to you a Book which has a reminder for you. Do you not understand? 10
