We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
