Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
