The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
