BE CONSTANT in [thy] prayer from the time when the sun has passed its zenith till the darkness of night, and [be ever mindful of its] recitation at dawn: for, behold, the recitation [of prayer] at dawn is indeed witnessed [by all that is holy]. 78 And forego sleep* in some part of the night – an increase for you**; it is likely your Lord will set you on a place where everyone will praise you***. (* For worship. ** Obligatory only upon the Holy Prophet. *** On the Day of Resurrection.) 79 And pray: "O my Lord, let my entry be with honour, and let my exit be with honour, and grant me power from You which would help (sustain) me." 80 And say: "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish." 81 And We reveal of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for believers though it increase the evil-doers in naught save ruin. 82 When We do favors to the human being, he disregards it and turns away from it. When evil afflicts him, he becomes despairing. 83 Say: 'Every man works according to his own manner; but your Lord knows very well what man is best guided as to the way.' 84
