And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
