The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few from the latter. 14 on lavish couches 15 facing one another. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water 31 and abundant fruits, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And raised couches. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
