The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when souls are united, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
