Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 The honourable recorders. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
