Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
