Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
