Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a pleader for the treacherous; 105 Ask God for forgiveness: He is most forgiving and merciful. 106 And plead not on behalf of (people) who deceive themselves. Lo! Allah loveth not one who is treacherous and sinful. 107 They try to hide from (men), but they cannot hide from God who is with them at night when they discuss such matters as He does not approve; but what they do is well within the compass of God. 108 Here you are - those who argue on their behalf in [this] worldly life - but who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will [then] be their representative? 109 And whoever does evil or acts unjustly to his soul, then asks forgiveness of Allah, he shall find Allah Forgiving, Merciful. 110 for he who commits a sin, commits it only to his own hurt; and God is indeed all-knowing, wise. 111 But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin. 112
