Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and the partitioners, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
