We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! 52 What! Have they willed this utterance to one another? In fact they are a rebellious people. 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
