The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
