Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
