۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
