Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
