Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
