Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
