The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
