Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 "And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment." 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 unto the day of a known time.' 38 He said, "My Lord, since You have let me go astray. I shall make the path of error seem alluring to them on the earth and shall mislead them all, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: 41 No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you, 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
