The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ [The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away. 1 no Remembrance from their Lord comes to them lately renewed, but they listen to it yet playing, 2 With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret. The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)? 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 They have said, "It, (the Quran), is only the result of some confused dreams. He is only a poet. He should show us some miracles, as the ancient Prophets had done." 5 Not one city that We destroyed before them believed; what then, will they not believe? 6 And We did not send (Prophets) before you except men, to whom We sent divine revelations – therefore, O people, ask the people of knowledge if you do not know. 7 And We did not make them bodies not eating the food, and they were not to abide (forever). 8 Then We made good unto them the promise; so We delivered them and those whom We willed, and We destroyed the extravagant. 9 Certainly We have revealed to you a Book in which is your good remembrance; what! do you not then understand? 10
