And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
