Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
