Noah (Nooh)

Verily We! We sent Nuh unto his people saying: warn thy people ere there come unto them torment afflictive. 1 He said: 'My nation, I am a clear warner for you. 2 (Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me, 3 He will forgive your sins and will grant you respite till an appointed time. When the time appointed by God arrives, it cannot be postponed, if you only knew." 4 He said: my Lord! Verily I have called my people night and day. 5 “So for them, my calling them increased their fleeing away.” 6 And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 then indeed I spoke publicly unto them, and I spoke unto them secretly, 9 And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving. 10 He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain, 11 And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers. 12 What ails you, that you look not for majesty in God, 13 seeing that He has created [every one of] you in successive stages? 14 "'Do you not see how God has created seven heavens in full harmony with one another, 15 and placed therein the moon as a light and the sun as a torch. 16 "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually), 17 Afterwards He will return you into it (the earth), and bring you forth (again on the Day of Resurrection)? 18 And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse 19 ‘So that you may tread the wide roads in it.’” 20
