The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
